Initially, INAM-Pro included only the cement sellers and buyers. 36 Cement Companies with 151 plants located all over India got registered on the portal. This made the comparison of prices, availability of materials etc. quite convenient for the prospective buyers i.e. Government Contractors. It reduced the time & effort in preparation of proposals and bid submissions etc. INAM-Pro has since increased efficiency in the procurement of construction materials as one can place orders, obtain price quotes and track them in a swift manner. The publicly visible prices have promoted transparency and enhanced ease of doing business.
These companies have committed supply of 27 million metric tons of Cement at a price restricted by predefined ceiling values.
INAM-Pro has already been used by more than 800 Construction agencies in a short span of 2 years.

c) Mitigating Cost Overruns due to Price Hedging through ceiling price mechanism. Maximum Increment of 10% permitted YoY basis.

The portal has recently been upgraded as INAM-Pro+ to include the A to Z of construction materials, equipments/machinery and services which would include Purchase/Hiring/Lease of new/used products and services in following domains:
a) Construction Materials viz. Cement, Steel, Bitumen, Stone Aggregates, Concrete, Bricks, Wood, Sanitary Items, Paint etc.
b) Infrastructure Machinery viz.HMP, Paver Finisher, Backhoe Loaders etc.
c) Intelligent Transport System Equipment
d) Road Furniture
e) Haulage Vehicles
f) Road Safety and Protection Works
g) Services
The upgraded version Inam-Pro+ has been launched by Hon’ble Minister, MoRTH on 01.06.2017 and number of products relating to newly added categories like Steel, Intelligent Transport System, Road Safety, Infrastructure Equipment etc are getting uploaded on the portal since then. Currently, 822 Buyers and 175 new Sellers have registered about 473 Products ranging from high value items like Concrete Batching Plant costing Rs.1.3 Crore to small items like road studs costing Rs.100/- only.
INAM-Pro has been highly acclaimed by the construction industry and IT sector as it has already received prestigious awards from Skotch and CSI .
